Health Services Research Coordination Unit

The Health Services Research Coordination Unit of the Medical Faculty of the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg is one of five Coordination Units founded in 2011 by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts Baden-Württemberg in consultation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration in order to establish Health Services Research in Baden-Württemberg. The funding by the ministries has ended in April 2017, ever since the Coordination Unit is financed by own funds.

Further Coordination Units are situated in Heidelberg, Mannheim, Tübingen and Ulm.

The Coordination Unit Freiburg pursues the goal to coordinate comprehensive activities at the University Medical Center and at the University and link them with projects in Health Services Research in the Freiburg and Southern Baden area.

Our Coordination Unit offers consultation to all actors in Health Services Research in the Freiburg and southern Baden area concerning the planning, conducting, analysis and publication of their projects. The consultation is performed partially directly by associates of the Coordination Unit, partially by redirecting to our cooperation partners.

The consultation in the Coordination Unit can range from a brainstorming meeting to a specific assistance with particular concerns. If you would like to make use of the consulting service of the Coordination Unit or if you have any questions regarding our offer, you are welcome to contact Susanne Walter.

Next to the consulting service, the Coordination Unit also locally promotes the establishment of Health Services Research by offering a wide range of information events, workshops and lecture series. An insight into current and past events of the Coordination Unit can be found here. Susanne Walter welcomes any wishes concerning future events.
